TACC Showcases Taiwan’s Advanced Cybersecurity R&D Achievements at CYBERSEC 2026
In response to CYBERSEC 2026’s central theme, “Resilient Future,” the TACC brought together nine research centers for a joint exhibition from May 5 to May 7 at Hall 2, 4F of the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center. The exhibition highlighted Taiwan’s indigenous cybersecurity R&D capabilities while fostering opportunities for industry-academia-research collaboration and technical exchange.
During the event, Minister Wu Cheng-Wen of the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) and Miao-Tzu Tsai , Director General of Department of Foresight and Innovation Policies ,visited the TACC booth and expressed recognition for TACC’s achievements in advancing cybersecurity technologies, cross-domain integration, and real-world applications. Their visit underscored the government’s strong support for strengthening Taiwan’s self-reliant cybersecurity capabilities.
The exhibition featured a wide range of cutting-edge cybersecurity innovations, including Academia Sinica’s “PQConnect Post-Quantum Tunneling Software Ported to the Rust Development Platform,” National Taiwan University of Science and Technology’s “Secure Charging Interface Technology for EV Charging Stations,” National Taiwan University’s “Zero Trust Architecture Smart Security Chip,” National Sun Yat-sen University’s “Chain-of-Thought-based Multimodal Fraud Detection Mechanism,” National Taipei University of Technology’s “ODDS Orbital Deception Defense,” National Chengchi University’s “Post-Quantum Privacy Protection and Secure Communication Technologies,” National Chung Hsing University’s “ICS/IoT Malware Detection,” National Cheng Kung University’s “AI-based Cybersecurity Realistic Testing Platform,” and National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University’s “Video Call Social Engineering Attack and Defense.”
The showcased technologies covered key areas such as energy security, chip security, post-quantum security, AI security, satellite communication security, firmware security, and deepfake and fraud detection. Together, these achievements demonstrated Taiwan’s technological resilience and innovation in addressing emerging cybersecurity threats, while highlighting TACC’s important role in connecting academic and research expertise to accelerate the deployment of cybersecurity technologies.
