2025 Cross-Domain Application Industry Exchange Forum Focuses on Forward-Looking Technologies, Promoting Cross-Sector Collaboration and Technology Implementation
The 2025 Cross-Domain Industry Exchange Forum was held on October 8, 2025 (Wednesday) at National Taiwan University, chaired by Deputy Minister Faa-Jeng Lin. The event attracted 112 participants from industry, government, academia, and research institutions, providing a platform for cross-sector dialogue and collaboration.
The forum focused on key topics such as AI cybersecurity and chip security. Through four keynote presentations and two panel discussions, experts examined emerging trends in cybersecurity and explored opportunities for cross-disciplinary collaboration to translate advanced technologies into practical applications.
During the forum, speakers noted that the most pressing global cyber threats currently stem from state-sponsored cyberattacks, followed by the impact of extreme climate events on critical infrastructure, and the societal risks posed by disinformation. Experts emphasized that future cybersecurity development should prioritize chip security, Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), and AI-driven defense technologies. These areas are seen as essential to gradually establishing a sovereign cybersecurity framework with greater autonomy, thereby strengthening overall digital resilience.
Research teams from the TACC—including scholars from National Sun Yat-sen University, Academia Sinica, National Chengchi University, and National Chung Hsing University—also presented a number of research achievements at the forum, demonstrating academic contributions to cybersecurity research and development across various industry sectors.
Both industry and academic participants expressed a strong willingness to collaborate, laying the groundwork for diverse exchanges and partnerships. The forum not only addressed the needs of the cybersecurity industry but also facilitated technology demonstrations and knowledge sharing, accelerating opportunities for substantive collaboration and further advancing Taiwan’s cybersecurity technologies and industry development.
