NCCU Research Team Publishes Paper on Parking Space Management in IEEE Internet of Things Journal

The NCCU research team has proposed an innovative solution for parking space management, titled "A Decentralized Approach to Parking Space Management with Fine-Grained Permission Level Using Blockchain Technology." The study utilizes blockchain technology to establish a decentralized management system that prevents data tampering and central server crashes, significantly enhancing overall security. The paper has been accepted for publication in the IEEE Internet of Things Journal.

The research team highlighted that the automatic execution function of smart contracts can avoid security vulnerabilities caused by human intervention. At the same time, the shared database design enables all participants to access the latest and correct data, reducing the risk of data tampering. Additionally, cryptographic techniques ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and authentication during transmission, providing users with a safe and reliable parking service. This research outcome not only brings an innovative breakthrough in parking management but also demonstrates the potential of blockchain technology in ensuring data security and system stability. It serves as a foundation for constructing and applying smart cities and intelligent transportation systems.
