NCHU's Study on Log Preservation Published in IEEE Transactions on Network Science and Engineering

The NCHU research team has published the paper "Log Preservation in Custody Dual Blockchain with Energy Regime and Obfuscation Shuffle" in the IEEE Transactions on Network Science and Engineering.

This study addresses the challenges of efficiency bottlenecks, scalability limitations, and data security risks in applying blockchain technology to log preservation. The proposed innovative framework, Custody Dual Blockchain (CDB), ensures the confidentiality and integrity of logs through a combination of reputation-based consensus, energy regimes, and obfuscation mechanisms. These features effectively mitigate risks such as brute-force attacks and unauthorized access, while also ensuring log recoverability and legal admissibility, even in cases of data corruption. Additionally, the framework significantly enhances the efficiency and scalability of log preservation and has passed rigorous testing using formal verification tools, demonstrating its reliability for digital forensics and legal proceedings. Beyond its focus on data preservation, this research also opens new possibilities for integrating smart contracts, paving the way for comprehensive chain-of-custody management in the future.
