Complex and Integrated Cyber Security Research and Realistic Experimentation
Abstract
Under this proposal, we will tackle two challenges. First, we will work on a cyber security research program to consider future vulnerabilities across multiple cyber or physical domains. We will examine security vulnerabilities involving AI technologies, non-terrestrial networking (NTN) systems, Future Internet Architecture and services, and human users together. While each individual component by itself is challenging, we believe that the integration of them together will lead to non-linear expansion and disruptive findings in vulnerability and defense options. Second, to conduct such advanced research, we will need to create an experimentation environment to at least realize such integration under a smaller scale. Therefore, we will design and implement a prototype environment on the NCKU campus and being exposed to real users (i.e., NCKU community members or other TACC partners).
